Cargo details

Provide a plain-language goods description, package count, external dimensions for each package type, gross weight, and readiness date. Identify fragile, oversized, non-stackable, battery-containing, or otherwise restricted cargo for review.

Route and responsibilities

Give collection and delivery addresses or named ports, plus the agreed trade term and named place if known. Clarify whether pickup, export handling, destination clearance support, and final delivery are requested. Ask who is responsible for taxes and duties rather than assuming they are included.

Timing and flexibility

State the required delivery window and whether it is a firm deadline. Include supplier working hours and pickup restrictions. Say whether a later departure, alternative mode, or split shipment is acceptable.

Quotation review

Check currency, validity, included services, exclusions, minimum charges, and assumptions. Ask what happens when final measured cargo differs from the estimate. Keep the quote reference and accepted scope with your packing list.

Use the preparation template

Download the shipment brief below and complete one cargo line for each package type. The template is a planning aid, not a customs declaration or a carrier booking. Our team can review feasibility and request any missing details before proposing a shipment plan.
